Daniella Wood, Women's Basketball

A five-time HVIAC Rookie of the Week, Daniella Wood put forth a very encouraging first season as a Knight. An HVIAC All-Conference selection, the freshman averaged 10.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game this season. Perhaps her best performance was during the conference semifinals against Vaughn College, as she helped pace the Knights to their first appearance in the HVIAC championship game by scoring 19 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. She also contributed a pair of steals and a pair of assists. In Berkeley's final game of the 2019-2020 season, Wood posted a double-double, scoring 10 points and snatching 13 boards in the Knights' 56-54 HVIAC title game loss to the Panthers of Albany College of Pharmacy. The Bronx, NY native is still eligible for USCAA All-American recognition as well, as those distinctions will be announced during the USCAA Division II Tournament banquet on Saturday evening, March 7, 2020.
