Knights Defeat PSU-New Kensington

The Berkeley College NJ Men's Soccer team defeated Penn State University-New Kensington in USCAA National Tournament Pool Play by the score of 6-0. The match was dominated by the Knights from the opening kick-off, Alejandro Castro-Rubio found the back of the Lions net within the first two minutes. Ten minutes later Juan Josue Rodriguez would find the foot of Matthew DaCosta, giving the Knights a two-goal lead. Dylan Jurado would close out the half scoring an unassisted goal, and the Knights took a comfortable lead into halftime.

The second half continued to be an all Knights affair, as a pass from Alejandro Castro-Rubio would lead to a Michael Mogollon goal. Eddie Becirovic extended the Knights lead with an assist from Eliseo Arevalo. Eliseo Arevalo would score a goal of his own when Eddie Becirovic returned the favor. The Knights took a total of 24 shots on goal to the Lions 7. Klae Nicholson and Dawid Mroz split time in goal combining for four saves.

The Knights will continue their quest for a National Championship as they take on PSU-Brandywine on Saturday 11/13/2021, match time set for 4:45 pm.
