The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team picked up a nice victory on Thursday evening, defeating Vermont Tech by a score of 5-1 in a match played at Aviator Field in Brooklyn, NY. With the victory, Berkeley improved its mark to 8-6 on the season, while Vermont Tech dipped to 5-10 with the loss.

Five different players scored goals for Berkeley College in the victory, with all five tallies coming in the opening session. Anthony Hernanez, Lucas Vasconcellos, Nathan Malka, Daniel Romain, and Matthew Neto were the goal-scorers for Berkeley. The Knights held a commanding 5-0 edge at the half.

Vermont Tech did get on the scoreboard in the 64th minute when Connor Strom netted a goal off of a shot from 30 yards out. That would be the only offensive output for Vermont Tech, which only was able to muster nine shots on the evening.

Berkeley College will return to action on Wednesday, October 19, as the Knights will take on Central Penn in a contest that will take place at Ramapo College. Start-time for that match is scheduled for 4:00pm.
