The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team endured its fourth consecutive defeat on Thursday evening, falling to the Bengals of the University of Maine at Fort Kent by a score of 6-0 in a contest played at Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ. With the loss, Berkeley College is now 10-6 on the 2017 campaign, while the Bengals stayed unbeaten with a mark of 11-0.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent used three goals in the opening session to take control of the match. James Blanchett scored the opening goal at the 12:10 mark (Shawn Genus picked up an assist on the goal), and he would add another tally at 15:06 as he would bury a pass from Stuart Conway. The Bengals held a 2-0 edge at that point, and would find the back of the net again when Rodney Witter would bury a ball into the goal (off of a pass from Carlos Crusat-Lopez) at the 18:02 mark. That made it 3-0 in favor of the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and that would be the score as the teams broke for halftime.

The Bengals would tack on three more goals in the second session, courtesy of Stefan Petricevic (from Kalusha Kotes at 49:02), Ryan Merckel (from Damion Rankine at 80:27), and Rankine (off a pass from Merckel at 84:45).

The University of Maine at Fort Kent dominated the match in all facets, out-shooting Berkeley College by a count of 16-4.

Berkeley College will return to action on Monday evening, as the Knights will take on Mercer County Community College. Start-time for that contest is scheduled for 5:00pm.
