The Berkeley College New York men's soccer team got back in the win column on Wednesday afternoon, defeating the Webbies of Webb Institute by a score of 8-2 in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match in Glen Cove, NY. With the victory, the Knights improved to a mark of 8-4-1 on the year (6-1-1 HVIAC), while Webb Institute dropped to 0-8 on the 2017 campaign (0-8 HVIAC).

In what was a balanced victory for Berkeley College, standout Meshema Charles recorded another two goals – pushing his team-leading total on the season to 10. Additionally, Muhammad Diallo found the back of the net twice – his first two goals on the season.

Jean-Gardy Derineau, Matthew Perreira, Hallgrim Tryli, and Josue Jimenez scored once apiece for Berkeley College, which improved to 8-0 this season when allowing two goals or less in a match.

Jon Hale and Ryan Chozick each scored a goal for Webb Institute in a losing effort.

The Knights will return to action on Sunday, as Berkeley College will take to the road to battle HVIAC foe SUNY-ESF. Start-time for that contest is scheduled for 3:00pm.
