Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse puts on clinic in 4-0 dominating victory over New York men's soccer team on Saturday

The Berkeley College New York men's soccer team dropped its fourth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse by a score of 4-0 at the Central New York Family Sports Center in Syracuse, NY. With the loss, the Knights dipped to 1-4 on the season, while the Bobcats improved to 2-0.

The Bobcats – who Berkeley Head Coach Stavros Zomopoulos proclaimed were in the top three teams that the New York men's soccer program has ever played – dominated the game. After both teams played scoreless soccer through the opening 30 minutes, Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse got on the scoreboard in the 31st minute when Uros Momic would record a goal (off a pass from Bogdan Milovanovic) to give his team a 1-0 edge. The Bobcats would tack on another goal at the 37-minute mark to grab a 2-0 advantage, and Momic would cap the scoring for his team in the opening session by burying the ball into the net at the 42 minute mark to increase his team's lead to 3-0 (Romaine Williamson picked up an assist on the score).

At the half, Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse held a commanding 3-0 lead.

The Bobcats would add another goal at the 60-minute mark when Williamson would net a goal (after receiving a pass from Momic). That gave them a 4-0 edge, and pretty much iced the match at that point.

Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse out-shot the Knights 10-4 on the afternoon.

Berkeley College will return to action on Monday, September 24, as the Knights will travel to Scranton, PA to battle Marywood. Start-time for that contest is scheduled for 4:00pm.
