New Jersey men's soccer team shutout by Moravian 4-0 at John Makuvek Field

The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team continued to struggle on the 2018 season, dropping another contest on Saturday by falling to Moravian by a score of 4-0. The match took place at John Makuvek Field in Bethlehem, PA. With the loss, the Knights slipped to 0-5 on the season, while the Greyhounds improved their record to 3-2-1.

Moravian broke through first in this contest – netting a goal in the 23rd minute when Anthony Nagy scored on a breakaway (off a pass from Alec Aloia) to give his team a 1-0 lead. Jorge Aguilar's header past Knights goalkeeper Robert Parker increased the Greyhound edge to 2-0. Kaiden Chinchar picked up an assist on that tally for Moravian. At the half, the Greyhounds held a 2-0 advantage.

In the 72nd minute of the game, Aloia would score a goal on a penalty kick to catapult Moravian to a commanding 3-0 lead. Just 1:26 later – at 73:19 – Aloia's corner kick would find the head of Jared Stafford, as Stafford would head the ball into the back of the net to give the Greyounds their fourth and final goal of the conest.

Moravian out-shot Berkeley College by a count of 18-8 on the day.

The Knights will return to action on Monday afternoon, as Berkeley College will take to the road to battle Penn State Scranton. Start-time is scheduled for 4:00pm.
