New Jersey men's soccer team continues recent winning ways with 4-0 blowout victory over Green Mountain College on Saturday afternoon

The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team won for the fourth time in its last five tries, defeating the Eagles of Green Mountain College by a score of 4-0 Saturday afternoon in Poultney, Vermont. With the win, the Knights are now 5-8 on the 2018 season, while the Eagles slipped to 3-8-1- on the year. 

Ichiaka Doumbia recorded the lone goal of the opening session, as he scored at 14:41 to give Berkeley a 1-0 advantage. Gennaro Vittorioso picked up an assist on the play. The Knights would add three more goals in the second half, courtesy of Christopher Azevedo (46:21, from Wender Lima), Carlos Goncalves(49:16, from Matthew Da Costa), and Alejandro Thomas (82:46, Azevedo assist). 

The Knights' Robert Parker and Max Moya combined for the shutout in net for Berkeley, with Parker logging 54:17 and stopping two shots, and Moya playing 35:43 and making five saves.

Berkeley dominated the match offensively, out-shooting Green Mountain College by a count of 26-12.

The Knights will look to continue their recent winning ways tomorrow afternoon, as they will play a road game at Vermont Tech. Start-time is scheduled for 12:00pm.
