On Thursday evening, the USCAA announced its National Division II Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Year at ceremony held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, and Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer standout Robert Parker was the recipient of the award, capturing it thanks to his unmatched versatility both in the classroom and on the pitch. After receiving the honor, Parker spoke:

"I am extremely proud to have been selected as the USCAA Division II Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Year," Parker said. "In life, there's always going to be growth, improvement, and adversity. You just have to take it all in, continue to progress and learn, and appreciate every moment."

Parker carries an impressive 3.96 Grade Point Average, and is also heavily involved working with youth soccer players at Soccer Palace in New Jersey. Additionally, he has volunteered to participate and orchestrate toy drives at Old Bridge High School, while also running tournaments there as well. He also recently volunteered at the Senior Olympics.

On the field, Parker logged over 1180 minutes this season, allowing just 27 goals and making 82 saves while posting a GAA of 2.06. His Head Coach, Bruno Ferreira, gave his thoughts on Parker receiving the prestigious USCAA award.

"This is the highest honor that a student-athlete in our program has has ever received, therefore I am very proud that one of my students was able to win this award "Ferreira said. "I must admit that he definitely deserves this award! What he does on and off the field is beyond justifiable. I could've only wished to give him another chance at a National Championship by qualifying for the National Championship, but for a personal award, Robert definitely deserves this honor and much more!"
