Knights go 2-1 over the weekend, defeating two USCAA Division I institutions

The Berkeley College men's soccer team put together a very successful weekend, winning two out of three matches, including a pair against USCAA Division I schools. With the 2-1 output, the Knights are now 9-1 on the 2023 campaign, as the team continues to surge nationally.

This past Friday evening, the Knights defeated the No. 1 ranked team in USCAA Division I – Bryant & Stratton (Rochester) – by a score of 1-0. Berkeley standout Suad Lukovic scored the game-winning goal for the Knights, and standout goalkeeper Victor Batista earned the first of his two weekend shutouts.

A day later, on Saturday evening, Berkeley suffered its first defeat of the 2023 campaign, dropping a 4-0 decision to Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse.

On Sunday evening, Berkeley registered yet another victory over a USCAA Division I institution, shutting down Bryant & Stratton (Buffalo) by a score of 2-0. The Knights' two goals came courtesy of freshman Massimo Rondon (from Ian Pallardel) and Maximus Betancourt (from Joseph Buel).

The Knights will look to continue their stellar 2023 campaign on Wednesday afternoon, as Berkeley returns home to take on Bryant & Stratton-Albany. The match will take place at Frank D. Zaccaria Memorial Park in Woodland Park, NJ. Kickoff time is set for 4:00pm.
