Men's and women's cross country teams compete in Desales University Invitational

The Berkeley College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Desales University Invitational on Saturday in Center Valley, PA. On the women's side, the Knights finished the 6K meet 11th overall out of 12. Despite the men's team not scoring in the 8K meet, the student-athletes that did run were able to gain valuable experience for the current campaign – as well as the future.

For Berkeley's women's squad, the Knights were paced by Marcela Valencia, as she finished 96th overall by crossing the tape at 32:35. The next Knight to complete the course was Andrea Gil, as she finished 102nd overall (33:53). Monica Hayes was the next Berkeley runner to finish, as she crossed the finish line at 35:07, a time good for 105th overall. Rounding out the female Knight runners were Ashley Kulsea (37:40, 116th overall) and Nyesha Clements (40:35, 120th overall).

The two male runners representing the Knights were Jeremy Jimenez and Jose Morales. Jimenez finished 150th overall by finishing the 8K meet in 39:44, and Morales placed 158th overall (41:26).

The Berkeley College men's and women's cross country teams will return to action on Saturday, October 19, as the Knights will compete in the Fighting Tiger Invitational in Cobleskill, NY. The event will get underway at 11:00am.
