The Berkeley College New York women's basketball team had its modest two-game winning streak snapped on Friday evening, as the team fell to the Pomeroys of St. Mary of the Woods College by a score of 92-62 in a game played at the Apprentice School in Newport News, Virginia. The loss sent the Knights to a record of 11-3 on the season, while the Pomeroys improved to a mark of 6-9 on the 2014-2015 campaign.

The game was tightly-contested in the opening stages of the game, with the Knights trailing by just two points - 10-8 - just 5:16 in. St. Mary of the Wood College would then put together a 19-6 run over the ensuing 5:06 to jump ahead by a count of 29-14. Berkeley College was able to pull to within single digits with just under 17 minutes remaining in the game (42-33), but St. Mary of the Woods College began to gradually pull away from there. Patricia Patterson added 12 points a game-high 18 rebounds, and Janay Thomas finalized her night with 12 points, seven assists, and five rebounds.

On the flip side, St. Mary of the Woods College drained 38.6 percent of their shots (32-83) while also converting on 16 of their 19 attempts from the floor (84.2 percent).
