SUNY-ESF's offense too much for women's soccer team as Knights drop conference contest to Mighty Oaks, 9-0

The Berkeley College women's soccer team resumed its season this past Saturday afternoon, falling to the SUNY-ESF Mighty Oaks in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest by a score of 8-0 in a match played at the Central NY Family Sports Center in Syracuse, NY. With the loss, the Knights dipped to 0-2 on the season, while the Mighty Oaks improved their mark to 8-1-1 on the season.

SUNY-ESF was paced by Heather Carl, as she scored a natural hat trick for the Mighty Oaks. She netted the first, fifth, and final goals for her team. Martha Caster added a pair of tallies as well, and Alyssa Hughes, Anna Bishop, Lauren Archer, and Maureen McCarthy added a goal apiece for SUNY-ESF as well.

The Knights will resume their season this Saturday, as Berkeley College will travel to Albany, NY to battle Albany College of Pharmacy in another Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest. Start-time for the match is scheduled for 2:00pm.
