Women's tennis team loses HVIAC contest to New Rochelle 9-0 Friday evening at National Tennis Center

The Berkeley College women's tennis team dropped a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Friday evening, falling to the Blue Angels of the College of New Rochelle by a score of 9-0 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The loss dropped the Knights to 0-4 on the 2018 campaign (0-3 in conference play). New Rochelle got its first win of the year, improving to 1-5 on the season (1-2 in HVIAC action).

New Rochelle took a 3-0 advantage after doubles play, capturing all three doubles flights by default. When play switcher to singles, the Blue Angels captured the No. 1 flight when Ja'Shay Aeriel Davis turned back Josolin Fults, 10-4.  New Rochelle won all other singles flights by default.

The Knights were scheduled to play Pratt Institute in tomorrow's HVIAC semifinal round match at the Pratt ARC, but Berkeley will now forfeit that contest, falling to a record of 0-5 in the process. Berkeley College will return to action in the Spring.
