Men's and women's cross country teams participate in Caldwell University Cougar Chase this past Sunday

The Berkeley College men's and women's cross country teams continued their 2017 seasons this past Sunday morning, competing in the Caldwell University Cougar Chase in Caldwell, NJ. Despite neither gender scoring for the Knights, the teams were still able to gain valuable experience for the current campaign – as well as the future.

On the men's side, the Knights had four runners compete in the 5K race, including Anthony Argueta, who was Berkeley College's first male runner to cross the finish line, as he did so at 19:39.38 (28th overall). The next Knights runner to finish was Joshua Williams, as he placed 40th overall with a time of 20:37.90. Rounding out the Knights' male representatives were Albert Jordan, who finalized his afternoon with a 63rd place finish (24:16.74), and Stanley Jeanty (24:46.68 – 65th place).

Berkeley College's pair of female participants in the women's 5K event included Melissa Ramirez and Jessica Trinidad. Ramirez crossed the finish line at 30:12.91 – a tme good for 61st overall. Trinidad finished her day with a 71st place finish – crossing the tape at 34:49.47.

The Berkeley College men's and women's cross country teams will return to action on Sunday, October 29, as the teams will compete in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Championship races at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, NY. Start-times for the races are to-be-announced.
