Joshua Hardy caps 2019-2020 regular season by securing his third HVIAC Player of the Week honor

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its final week award winners for the 2019-2020 regular season on Tuesday morning, and Berkeley College's men's basketball team was represented by Joshua Hardy, as the versatile standout was tabbed as the Player of the Week.

For Hardy, it was the third time this season that he earned the conference's top billing. The guard torched conference opponents, averaging 25.5 points (60 percent shooting percentage) and 11.5 rebounds per game as the Knights went 2-0 last week in two HVIAC outings. Against Five Towns, the junior poured in 27 points (12-20 FG) with 12 boards, three steals, and two assists.

Hardy has had a tremendous year for the Knights, averages 11.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest. He has scored in double figures 15 times, and netted 19 points or more on five different occasions, and his 39 steals are good for second-most on Berkeley, and his 52 assists place him third on the team...His 170 total rebounds are second only to Daquan Jackson, and 80 of his 170 rebounds are on the offensive side.

The 2019-2020 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament starts this weekend. Berkeley, the No.1 seed in the tourney, will take on No. 4 seeded SUNY-ESF (5pm). Should the Knights win that contest, they'll return to action the following day to take on the winner of the 2-3 matchup that features the Panthers and the Sound. All games of the tournament will take place at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY.
