New Jersey men's soccer team registers just one shot on goal in 1-0 loss to Desales University

The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team dropped a contest to Desales University on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 in Center Valley, PA. With the loss, Berkeley College dropped to 3-6 on the season, while Desales improved its 2014 mark to 4-5-1.

Bulldogs sophomore Wes Frebel notched the only goal of the afternoon on a penalty kick in the 21st minute. After a foul was drawn in the box on a corner kick, Frebel stepped up to take the kick and buried a ball in the upper right corner to give his team a 1-0 edge - an advantage Desales would not relinquish.

Desales held a 15-14 advantage in the shots while also enjoying an 8-1 edge in corner kicks. Berkeley College only registered one shot on goal the entire afternoon against a very stingy Desales defense.

Despite the loss for Berkeley College, Cristian Vidreiro made four stops and allowed only the one goal. Bulldogs netminder Colin Sulpizio recorded a shutout - needing just one save in the process.

The Knights will return to action Monday evening as Berkeley will take on Vaughn College at Aviator Field in Brooklyn, NY. Start-time is scheduled for 5:00pm.
