Women's Basketball team dominates University of Maine Machias, improves to 2-0 on the 2014-2015 season

The Berkeley College of New York women's basketball team won its second game in as many days, defeating the University of Maine Machias by a score of 73-11 Sunday afternoon in a contest played with South Portland, Maine. With the victory, the Knights remained perfect on the 2014-2015 season, improving to 2-0, while the Clippers dropped to 0-2.

The Knights were led by senior Milan Germany who posted a game-high 17 points and a team-high eight rebounds. She also dished four assists and tallied four steals. Newcomer Champagne Hazel added 15 points and a game-high nine steals, and veteran Patricia Patterson chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.

It was a terrific all-around performance for the Knights, who dished 22 assists on the afternoon. Eight of the nine players who played for Berkeley College scored, and the Knights forced 45 Clipper turnovers while committing just eight of their own.

Berkeley College will now enjoy 12 days off before resuming their season on Saturday, November 22, when the Knights take to the road to battle the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Edwin J. O'Hara Hall in Great Neck, NY. Start-time for that game is scheduled for 1:00pm.
