The Berkeley College women's basketball team suffered a defeat on Wednesday evening, losing to the Owls of Union College by a score of 95-22. The contest took place in Cranford, NJ. With the loss, the Knights slipped to 1-13 on the 2022-2023 campaign, while the Owls improved to a mark of 10-3.
Despite the loss for the Knights, reigning USCAA Division II and HVIAC Player of the Week Amal Mahmoud led her squad with a team-high 10 points to go along with seven rebounds and a pair of steals.
The Knights will return to action this weekend, as Berkeley will take to the road to take on HVIAC foe Word of Life on Saturday (4:00pm) and Bryant & Stratton-Albany on Sunday (2:00pm).
